[the world has ended. not too surprising, given both of their everything, and it really doesn't matter much to Ruler one way or the other. the war he was summoned for was ended abruptly by the sudden apocalypse, every Servant but him is gone, and yet he remains, his essence still powered by a Grail that no longer has any other strain on it. he could disappear, too, if he wanted, but... that would be boring. so instead he investigates the world he was summoned to, comparing notes with all the knowledge that was implanted in him for the war. it's... painfully boring too, really, with maybe an emphasis on "painful", though he can't quite connect with that feeling given his summoning as "Kamukura Izuru". that should probably distress him in and of itself.

maybe Guren has fucked off on his own to try and cope with the consequences of his actions, maybe to flip out until he can suppress it again, but either way, wherever he is, a room that was almost surely empty when he entered it is now very much occupied by... what looks like a vampire in a suit and tie.]

[It's not long after the apocalypse set in, and the world at large is still in chaos. The Order of the Imperial Demon of course is one single beacon of collectedness amongst it all, one place with living adults and an intact system of organization and power. So they're quickly taking power, and watching it, Guren feels deeply ill.

It's his fault. He'd wanted to liberate his people from the Hiiragi, and instead he's put his enemies in even greater power than they were before. The lives of billions are on his hands, and he doesn't see it getting any better from here.

So he's escaped for the moment, wandering out into the ruins of the city to a house whose occupants are corpses recently cleaned up. He intends to flop on the couch, in the middle of the strange setting of a place that seems as if it's still in the middle of someone's busy day, but after setting up a solar-powered lantern he turns to see-- a vampire?

It makes him jump, and his hand goes immediately to the sword at his side.]

What do you want?

[the vampire(?) seems to calmly (coldly) examine him, taking his time before answering in a soft, perhaps surprisingly high voice. he sounds young, almost younger than he looks, and he seems to be in his older teens, like Guren.

for all his clothes are spotless and well kept, his hair is dragging on the ground the way he's sitting with one knee up and his arm resting on it, casually picking up dust.]

Who says I want anything?

I don't believe a vampire would suddenly appear not wanting anything. [Honestly he trusts vampires in suits even less than vampires in weird pseudo-uniforms.]

but ruler is sitting similarly. down the road. like he's been waiting for guren there the whole time.]

[--Okay but. That's really alarming? Guren tries not to look bothered, and instead just keeps going, towards safer territory. Is he going to die? No way. After all this, he can't afford to.]

[again, further down the road, ruler serenely watching him approach.]

Aah, I can't help but realize I'm being creepy. I do simply want to talk.

[Well. At least he's self-aware? But Guren is seriously considering whether it would be suicide to attack or run.] Sure you do.

Logically the way I'm acting can only alienate you. Though in fairness just looking at me seemed to manage that much.
